To my great surprise,
Although a shining light was lost,
The sun still rose today.
I suppose, too,
The stars will twinkle and the moon will rise tonight.
But nothing, nothing, nothing,
Will seem as bright.

Beautiful post, thinking of you, love Shena
I know I don't know you, but I did want to say that I'm so sorry you lost your friend. I have lost a loved one and so I unfortunately possess the understanding of how it can feel. The poem certainly describes a part of it well - the world still going on whether one feels ready to or not; and, of course, things never being the same.
Sorry again. I don't really know what to say - I'm sure there's little comfort my words could bring.
This story has had a big impact on me too. I am so sorry for your loss and will be here as best I can to help you through this tragedy. You were lucky to call Nancy your friend. I also feel very fortunate that I got to spend time with her and get to know her during your wedding. She was a remarkable woman. Deb
